Ghosts....

Many times when sitting alone in my home reading or at my computer writing,
I am overwhelmed with the sudden smell of cigarette smoke.

The smell is faint but at the same time suffocating.
My memory is stirred and I recall Him, blowing smoke rings to entertain me,
late at night when neither of us could sleep.

  2. I used to smell gardenias at odd times, out of the blue. I loved that. I never figured out what it was. Found you from the Red Dress Club.

  3. Thanks for the comment Wanderlust. Research indicates that the emotion area of our brain processes odors. But how can we explain odors with no source?

  4. I don't have an explanation for it. I liked to imagine that it was a spirit guide or something just passing by.

  5. I've never had smells, but I'm sure I've had visitors. I find it comforting usually. Visiting from TRDC.
